Troy Center

Our experience at Troy Center turned out to be genuinely positive, even though we were hesitant at first. That reluctance went away quickly when we saw how supportive the staff was. The rehab team was consistently encouraging, and dedicated. They treated our dad with compassion and respect. He’s moving so much better now. We can’t thank them enough. We also want to thank Nick in social work. He took the time to listen to us, answer our questions, and make sure we felt heard. His patience and willingness to help put us at ease. We also want to thank Jenn, one of the nurses, for taking the time to talk with us and explain things clearly. She made us more comfortable and confident in the care being provided. I'm happy to give this place 5 stars. It's not perfect but if you're looking for a perfect nursing home, then you've got issues no nursing home can fix. And to everyone giving 1 star, you have lived a sheltered life not to have ever dealt with facilities that actually merit a single star. Several of you also seem to be confusing a Google review with a complaint form. With exactly one single exception, ALL staff are friendly and patient and professional. Administration is very responsive to concerns. The food is nursing home food, but they are INCREDIBLY accomadating for likes and dislikes. They'll also increase portion amounts if asked. As for their PT and OT therapists, I got no notes. They are straight up uniformly fantastic. Maybe I'm lacking some objectivity. I was there for a month

2-25-2026 @730pm this is hands down the worse place to ever go no hot food or on paper plates etc we have to buy food they don't give meds correct at all if you say anything they will attack you the nurse supervisor Jess just said she'll be home soon anyways she will be your problem wow the place is in shambles and should be closed down.. whoever owns this place needs to hire real help and reevaluate if they know how to run this place.. or if they care about patients at all.. Adult Protection needs to immediately get involved and the State Of New York

UPDATE: I signed a formal request for medical records and the incident report. It has now been 2 weeks and not so much as an acknowledgement from the Troy Center. People beware, this is not a place you want to send your loved ones! If I could leave no stars I would. This place is not long term care/ rehab, it’s a house of horrors. The neglect is terrible. Please someone investigate and shut them down.

This might be a record arrived here today for rehab for a total hip replacement had some complications and set back been a long week in recovery get here today at 4pm ish ask about my pain meds as I was moving a lot today, they said they needed to put the orders in, that’s about 7:30 I asked again one of the pleasant aides said the nurse was coming finally shows up at 9 pm says she doesn’t have access to the pain medication and if there is no one else here I can’t give it to you, what about this poor patients who are here at the end stages of their life are they not entitled to have pain free deaths! I truly at am a loss! Then the nurse asked another nurse and used the terminology she is impatient. Then tried to say she said she is in pain, sorry totally with it and I can hear just fine sh
