The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy

Pharmacies have almost become like bad fast food chains as of late: overworked employees who don’t have the training to actually help, not enough staff, and bad customer service. Going to The Medicine Shoppe has been like stepping back in time… in a good way! The pharmacist and staff are kind, knowledgeable, and will go above and beyond to find your medicine, even during times of late where certain meds have been next to impossible to find. In fact, during one such shortage about 2 years ago, Melanie (Montgomery City and LSL pharmacist) took like 40 minutes with me to explain the situation, the future expectations of this issue being fixed, and found a place to get it so I didn’t have to go without. Excellent pharmacy! We moved our prescriptions from Walgreens in Ofallon, MO. We are THRILLED by the outstanding service and staff!! No more longggggg waiting on hold for someone to MAYBE pick up the phone. It’s now a joy to pickup medication. We DREADED it at Walgreens. Thanks to everyone who works at this pharmacy. I feel so lucky to have found this pharmacy! Everyone there is kind and helpful - best move we ever made, from a big corporation to a small, caring business. Cannot recommend highly enough. I’d give ten stars if possible.

They really need to get new staff!!! My prescriptions are suppose to be on autofill. I always have to call… Then I get notification it’s ready!!!! Then they never have the medicine ready or act as if you’re fibbing over your own medication. It’s ridiculous, go through the drive thru and still wait 15mins. Please get it together!!!! However, the Pharmacist is nice.

Nice staff and I love how they have a drive through! I’m so thankful I could start getting my prescriptions filled here. I couldn’t have asked for a better location to get my medicine filled. They transferred me pills from cvs to them and I didn’t have to deal with it. It was great!
