I can't say enough about the incredible care my dad received at the Cottages! He was in there twice for rehab after falls, so when it was time to decide where to place him permanently, it was an easy decision. Because of the concept, he had the same staff most of the time. The 8-10 residents that lived in his cottage were a constant (mostly), as well. From the moment he arrived, the entire staff treated him with genuine kindness, dignity and respect. It was clear that everyone from the nurses and aides to the administrators truly cared about his comfort and well-being. Al, the owner was available much of the time and even came in on a Sunday afternoon to plant mums in the planter boxes in the courtyard between 2 cottages. My husband spent a month at The Cottages of Lake St. Louis. If you’ve got to be in physical rehab this is a great place. There are ten private rooms per cottage. Each equipped with a hoyer lift. There’s a large common room with dining area and an outdoor patio. Staffing is one nurse and two CNA’s. I found all staff to be friendly, encouraging and professional. Food was decent and some meals down right delicious. The facility doctor, Dr Meyerson is as good as they come. He clearly cares for his patients and is encouraging. As I was there everyday I got to know all staff and physical and occupational therapist. They always answered my questions, of which there were many. My husband and I are grateful for the care he received. And he came home in far better condition than when he arr

I can not describe how amazing this place is. My father has needed to come here three times in the past 2 years and each time he is happy to come back. The Cottages don't compare to any facility in the area. They are 100% the best. I have seen many physical rehab facilities and there's no contest. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they keep the family in the loop, the food is great, physical therapy is top notch and the rooms are private. I can't think of one negative thing to say. I love the cottages and recomend them 10/10. Hands down the best care!!

Very nice peaceful place for my mom during rehab. Well after spending hrs. This is a horrible place only 8 beds per house. Nurse is great. But the staff is horrible disappears. Shouts at those asking for help. One spent most of her time on her phone. The second person did all the work. No cleaning the table after people eat. Floor all sticky completely dirty. The wheelchair is full of food leftovers. Very unhealthy environment. They do not check on the people staying there. staff besides the nurse are pretty much worthless. Management needs to take a hard look at this place. Health department should shut it down.

The cottages offered my Mother excellent care and the layout offered a very pleasant environment. The caregivers are not only first rate caregivers, but all had the most wonderful bedside manners. They truly cared about my Mother. And she left with a number of her health issues being solved.
