The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at South Point

This place is a house of horrors. My sister was there and was not taken care of - very few nurses and aides were good, most of the staff was not. The doctors at this place cannot be real doctors. I asked a question to the doctor and she said "who knows?" My sister had a rash under her breast and they treated it with cream or powder. It was cancer! And the hospital said she had this a long time. Also, she had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. At hospital, she was checked for seizure medicine and there was no trace in her. She was supposed to be on it all the time. Also, she was in so much pain and screaming in pain and they did not try to help her with the pain. She was on Tylenol?! She was eventually placed in Comfort End of Life and she was still screaming in pain. This

The staff here are truly caring and attentive. My grandmother is currently a resident on the rehab floor. A special thank you to Samantha, the Director of Social Work, for her compassion and dedication. She goes above and beyond to support families and residents!

If I could give zero stars I would. If your loved one is here for a LONG TERM stay for a nursing home I would run far away! The facility is dirty, and the staff is overwhelmed. My poor aunt was not consistently given medication, was left to rot on the floor on dirty mats, and we would often see rat/ mice droppings. Not to mention her brand new clothes would go missing frequently! The doctors here are extremely negligent, and have very few experienced staff. Please stay far away from this place!!

Hello, I am leaving a review to make mention of the great, helpful, competent, reliable, and outstanding service of the Director of Social Worker Samantha Di’Clemente. At every turn she is willing to look into and resolve any issue that arises. This is greatly appreciated!

My elderly mother took a fall at home, went to hospital, and was then transferred to The Grand for short-term rehab. All of the staff were attentive, caring, and really showed dedication. My mom had an excellent rehab experience there. She is now 91 and has been residing on The Grand’s long-term care floor for a couple of years. Janice, who is the Concierge and a Coordinator at The Grand, is EXCELLENT! She has befriended my mother and really cares about her. My family, including myself, all consider Janice to be a gem at The Grand … both a friend and an ally. Other positives about The Grand that are especially meaningful to my mother are a Christian prayer group that meets weekly, and two women who deliver the Eucharist/communion every Sunday.
