Dr. Michael Volz at Texas Children’s Specialty Care has truly changed our lives. Watching your child struggle with asthma, allergies, and eczema for years is heartbreaking. We had countless visits to our PCP and even ER trips, yet nothing seemed to truly help. Since we started seeing Dr. Volz, everything changed — and for the first time, we finally felt heard. Dr. Volz took the time to look deeper and discovered that my daughter’s Vitamin D levels were extremely low — something no one had ever checked before. Once treatment began, the improvement was incredible. Her asthma is under control, her allergies and eczema are better, and most importantly, we have had no more ER visits. Today, my daughter is healthy, happy, and no longer missing school, which means the world to us as parents. D

We brought our 2 year old daughter here 3 months ago and we saw Traci Duncan. Her bedside manner was terrible and her advice did not help. Our daughter's eczema got worse and I was sending her pictures, asking if we should come in again. She said no need to see her again and said she had BED BUGS. I was so upset and we ended up taking her into her pediatrician where she was diagnosed with a bad skin infection that needed antibiotics. I reported this and someone called to discuss it while I was working. I returned the call when I could and got a voicemail. I just got a letter in the mail saying they sent my copay to collections. I am so disappointed with this clinic. Please do not bring your children here or see an actual doctor.

The people who are answering the phones need to learn not to be rude! First time calling ever for a referral because it’s been over a month and the lady who answered had a immediate attitude and said they will call you, when we explained it’s been over a month she said like I said they will call you! Not a good first impression.

Kristina Gutierrez APRN, CPNP AC/PC Pediatric Neurology Texas Children's Hospital Very rude unprofessional, smart Alec not good with children, even though she’s working at a Children’s Hospital. and very narcissistic when it comes to my kid she wants to talk about her kid comparing kids and saying that it’s normal but that’s not how a doctor should look at things. Doctors should look at things from different points of views and not bring your personal life into it. on top of that, she tried to alleged that I was rude to staff.

We had a horrendous experience with another Children’s Hospital in the Austin area for our daughter’s hearing issue. Switching to Texas Children’s was the best decision we ever made. The level of care from every person we came in contact with at Texas Children’s was outstanding. It is so obvious that their providers truly care. They accomplished in weeks what we waited for over 6 months at the other provider. The auditory specialist and surgeon were both world class. As a parent, I am eternally grateful to Texas Children’s.
