Dr. Burman was referred to me by my PCP when I was being evaluated for gallstones. From my consultation appointment to the day of surgery and at my follow-up, Dr. Burman and his office treated me with kindness and professionalism. Amanda from the office was very responsive and thorough when scheduling me for the surgery and was able to accommodate my scheduling needs. On the day of surgery when Dr. Burman discovered I would need an ERCP procedure to remove the final gallstone which had moved to the common bile duct, he was able to call a gastroenterologist so that I would be able to get that done the next day. As a retired RN, I know how difficult it can be to find proper care when needed. While in the hospital with a bowel obstruction, my sister was not receiving proper care. Fortunately, I was able to reach out to Dr. Burman and he took the time to listen while the other surgeon was eager to perform a large unnecessary surgery. Because of Dr. Burman’s expertise and judgement we were able to transfer her to another hospital in his care. After a few more appropriate procedures were performed he was able to resolve the obstruction without the need to operate and her hospital stay was significantly shorter. Since then, she has had no further issues and is healthy-never having needed surgery at all. Dr. Burman is one of the most caring, compassionate physicians who has ever cared for my sister. H
