UPDATE: September 25, 2025 - after several more phone calls and email exchanges, with Dr. Burkhardt refusing (yes, refusing) to remove the charge of $157.20 for the phone call that lasted less than 1 minute, I decided that I would take this issue to small claims court...based on principle. After informing Rachell Thomas and the Patient Advocate of my plans, I was connected with a senior practice manager, and the issue was resolved within a few days - the amount was adjusted, and my balance is zero. I’m a 100% disabled Veteran with cardiac issues (very high burden of PVCs). I reached out to Dr. Burkhardt for a second opinion and understood that this consultation would be at my expense. I’ve had two telephone calls with Dr. Burkhardt. The first was a consultation (second opinion) which

Serious Post-Op Complications Ignored - Lack of Urgency Nearly Cost my Mother Her Life ——————————————————————————— Dr. Bassiouny performed an outpatient heart ablation for PVCs on my mother, who was otherwise healthy. What should have been a routine procedure turned into a nightmare. During the ablation, trauma led to an aortic dissection, a life-threatening condition. Instead of identifying the issue quickly, staff dismissed her worsening pain and continued administering pain medication that had no effect. Despite clear signs something was wrong, she was sent to a standard hospital floor for observation. It took hours before anyone took her pain seriously. Floor staff continued giving pain meds and delayed involving a physician. It wasn’t until an internal medicine doctor evaluated her (

Dr. Andrea Natale has performed 3 procedures on my heart in the last 16 years. One in Cleveland, OH, 2 in Austin at Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia. He is the very best. Trent’s support has always been the best as well. Dr Natale’s entire staff is very supportive and excellent in quality of care. I verbally recommend Dr Natale to anyone having AFIB issues.

Dr. Bode and TCAI saved my partner's life. My partner is young & healthy, and has never had any health/heart issues until this year. His arrythmias/EKG's stumped many doctors, but Dr. Bode was the only one who was able to narrow down what was potentially causing my partner's odd arrythmias, and advised us on the proper courses of treatment for his rare condition. It was a very stressful year, but I don't know what we would have done without her and the Institute. Thanks to them, my partner is alive, feels much better, and was given his future back. Highly recommend, they're the best!

Update: December 17, 2025: I still give TC&A five stars. Ever since my first meeting with Dr. Al-Ahmad, I've received nothing but the very best care and service from not only him but also his entire staff. That has been for at least fifteen years. The key to their success with me is consistency. They have consistently been there for me, and have greatly improved my life, perhaps even extended it, even when I've had to contact them outside of regular visits. I trust Dr. Al-Ahmad implicitly, and by association, his support staff. Abigail, his Nurse Practitioner, along with Audree and the rest of his caring and upbeat staff, always greet me with a smile and are thorough in their assessments and routines. ************************************************************************* Dr. Amin Al-Ahm
