Texas Adolescent Treatment Center

Definitely had a better experience than most and I am grateful for the nurses and staff here. My experience was at the Adolescent unit and they have great nurses that really care. Had an opportunity to speak with the nurse manager and that was such a heart felt conversation. Everyone of the staff have the heart to treat kids.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Rude staff, horrible communication, I am not happy with the treatment that my child received here. I feel horrible for the kids that should be getting better treatment.

My friend requested he be dropped off at admissions. We went to building 1 but all doors were locked with no clear signage of where to go. Staff would not answer doorbells. Staff was kind of rude. Staff finally answered doorbells but seemed kind of annoyed that we were trying to admit . I hope the staff that take care of patients is more caring at least in appearance.

This place is pretty bad. The doctors keep your children, and they didn't give you any information for a week, and for discharge, they take 6 hrs for discharge patients I was waiting they just said sorry we have so many paperwork

Rude attendant. After waiting about 3h (10:45pm-1:45am)for my wife to come back from having family member admitted, and first time visiting, attendant asked me to put any items in pockets in a bin. I declined and went to vehicle to put items back. Returned with key fob and identification. Told to put items in bin. Kept identification and was told if I left again she would not let me in again. Terrible manners considering the purpose of the center. And the 3h+ delay.
