Swedish Hospital - First Hill Campus

I have only been hospitalized a few times in my life. I have been immensely fortunate to only have been hospitalized at Swedish. I hope that I never have to be hospitalized anywhere else. The staff is exceptional. I have a newfound respect for nurses. The nurses at Swedish are true angels. Thank you for everything that you did. Swedish has saved my life more than once. And actually, the food is amazing!

I recently had a urologic procedure at Swedish Medical Center – First Hill Campus under the care of Dr. Alexander B. Cantrell, and my experience was outstanding from start to finish. Dr. Cantrell is exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He took the time to explain the procedure clearly, answered all my questions thoroughly, and made me feel confident and well cared for throughout the process. The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been uneventful. I was especially relieved to learn that the pathology results showed no evidence of cancer. I recently had an ankle replacement at the Swedish Orthopedic Institute. From convenient parking, to all of the fantastic staff, including check-in, pre-op, surgical, post-op, as well as communication once home, Swedish did a fantastic job! I recommend them to anyone considering orthopedic surgery.

During my recent admission to Swedish Hospital-First Hill Campus from February 5-10, 2026, my health needs were consistently met. I want to recognize nurse McKenna, who cared for me on February 7-8 with great compassion and dedication. I also appreciate nurse Norial, the night nurse, who went above and beyond to ensure my needs were addressed. Dr. Erica Rae Casey is truly exceptional. She exemplifies compassion and kindness.

If it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would. All the doctors, nurses, techs, so many amazing individuals, all provided the best caring support. I am in awe of them all and what they did for me. Thank you SO VERY MUCH! It was a scary time and because of all the staff involved taking care of me, it allowed me to be on the road to healing much quicker. There were too many to list but I hope each and every one of them know how much I appreciated them. Lastly a special thanks to Dr. Rog who did my whipple.
