I went in for a simple wellness visit and walked away with almost a $300 bill in co pays. After hours and hours of back and forth with insurance and their billing department, I come to find out that if you say anything other than “I feel fine and everything is completely normal” they will double code the visit. I didn’t even see a doctor. They are extremely sneaky and conniving and will squeeze every penny out of you, they live in the grey area of law and ethics. THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL OFFICE, ITS A CORPORATION.

I go to Summit for many of my family's needs, and usually have no complaints, but had the worst experience with a GI office at their Berkeley Heights location. They received my test results, and I needed treatment. It's been a month, and I still didn't get the medication. They seemed to hit the dead end with me needing to change a pharmacy in the process, and my medication being denied by insurance ( a call from a Dr would be enough in the past to solve the problem with this medication in my experience, but nobody attempted it at this office - they just sat and waited for me to call and beg them to do SOMETHING). Initially, it took them 10 days to review the test results, then they didn't realize that the insurance denied the medication coverage - and not until I called - then they were un

Worst experience I have ever had with medical care. I was having pain in me feet so I had to go to a podiatrist within the group and have orthotics made. After receiving the first pair I was having worse pain so I went back to have them fixed. The second time they were supposed to have a support removed but when I received the second pair they still had the support. When I got the third pair they were still incorrect so I went to a new provider. When I got my second pair of orthotics I had cone to find that my insurance was over charged by summit medical group. When I attempted to find out the error they said they were working on refunding the money since May, this was back in August. Each time I was told it would only be a couple of weeks. I have followed up several times and waiting on h

Saw a doctor on January 9, 2026. Went for blood work and xray the same day. Saw the blood work results posted over the next couple of days. Never heard from the doctors office on what the results mean. I then sent a message via the portal after about two weeks. Only today, Feb 19th a RN from the doctors finally called me. Six weeks after my appointment! Was told I slipped through the cracks.... All the money I paid, even after insurance. Horrible experience. Would not recommend Summit Health at Berkeley Heights, NJ.

I had my annual physical at Summit Health Berkeley Heights Primary Care and was very disappointed with how the billing was handled. The visit was supposed to be a preventive exam fully covered by my insurance, but several standard lab tests (Vitamin D, Lipid Panel, Iron, and Ferritin) were billed under diagnostic codes instead of preventive ones. As a result, I was charged out of pocket even though my insurance confirmed these tests should be covered under preventive care. Both Summit Health and Cigna told me they “billed the correct codes,” and neither side is willing to fix it — leaving patients to pay for what should be fully covered. Additionally, during the same visit, the provider briefly followed up on a thyroid concern I mentioned from a prior year and that led to an unexpected “
