I’m a Physical Therapist and owner at AOK Physical Therapy in Austin, and Dr. Walters and Dr. Mereau are the podiatrists our clinic trusts and refers to. They take the time to listen, explain the “why,” and collaborate well alongside PT, which makes a huge difference for outcomes. I was originally optimistic after my initial appointment with Dr. Walters as he promised to be a partner in figuring out a complex situation with my feet. But after his simple solution didn't work, I found his level of service and care minimal and inadequate. In addition, he communicated that our subsequent appointments to fine tune my orthotics would be included in his original price, but in the end he billed me multiple times. Trusting your healthcare provider is important. I'm giving him one star for the above as well as his lack of integrity.

I had been suffering with a problem with my foot for some time. Earlier in the year, it finally got bad enough that I felt I needed to see a doctor. I've been looking forward to a Christmas ski trip with my family for a long time. Only 3 weeks before the trip, my big toe puffed up and was super sore from an ingrown toenail. I've never had this before but knew it would keep me off the slopes without prompt action. I explained this to Dr. Walters' staff when I called only an hour before their Friday closing time. They worked me in immediately as their last patient of the week and I drove right over to their offices. After careful examination, Dr. Walters explained how he could deaden the area and significantly cut out about a fourth of that toenail and fix the damaged area. I had been pior to my first with Dr. Walters to my primary physiciansssss I thought it was going to be a huge life changing moment in life. This man with a simple diagnosis solved an issue that most importantly allowed life in the fullest again.
