St. Luke's Lehighton Family Practice

My daughter went to this office 3 days ago to establish care with a new primary care physician, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. No tests were taken or recommended during the visit, which felt more like a formality than a true health check. Even worse, they removed the wrong medication from her records and never called it in to the pharmacy. It was frustrating to leave a new patient appointment with ALEXANDRA FARANO - more confusion than clarity. She now has to follow up and have an appointment with a new doctor next week to fix errors that should have been handled correctly the first time. Definitely not the organized or thorough care we were hoping for.

I will never come back to that office . I have never met a doctor that was so rude and spent no time during visit. She was in room for a total of 5 min annd did no assessment at all. She didn’t listen to lungs heart nothing. Worse NP assessment I have ever seen. Especially being in health care myself this was horrible . Stay far away from this office.

I’ve been going to this Dr for years and they’re usually all very nice here but a Dr today was extremely rude to me- saying a medication I’m on is only prescribed for headaches (Topamax) and she asked why it’s prescribed to me if not for headaches and I was about to tell her when she was extremely cocky about her remark… I said actually , it’s prescribed for many things…, but I’m being prescribed it for… and she freaked out and said I cannot see you- we will see if another Dr can and she left the room and said they will reschedule you if someone else can see you…. Like wow!!!!! Really? Any of you can google “topamax”… yes, it is prescribed for headaches and also many other things. I know more than a rude Dr- who knew. Oh her name is ALEXANDRA FARANO. If I could give less than 1 star i would! Worst experience I've ever had with a medical center/professionals. Refused to prescribe me more than 1 month of my asthma medications forcing me to arrange a visit once a month for refills. On top of that for 3 months straight they sent the wrong/incomplete prescriptions to the pharmacy which I need to prevent me from being on a breathing machine. Had to return to the office every single time because no one answers the phone at the office EVER. Family doctor McGinley is never in the office so you will be pawned off to a doctor Patel, who also reflects the poor quality of this medical establishment!

Our family has had nothing but great experiences with Dr. McGinley and his staff. They have always gotten us in quickly when it was needed. Our wait time is never long. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Dr. McGinley has always been very good at getting to the root of the problems and explaining them to us. He has always been great with our children and can relate to them well. We have trust in him and are glad to have found such a great local family doctor.
