St. Luke's Baptist Hospital

I was transferred from another facility to St Luke’s on the PCU unit for a 5 day hospitalization stay. I myself work in healthcare and understand the importance of patient care. Out of everyone of my nurses Veniesa was AMAZING! From the time she entered my room and introduced herself, her presence gave me sense of comfort during the anxiousness I was experiencing at the time. She is dedicated to her patients needs from the time she walks in for her shift to the time she leaves for the evening. Which she would always take the time to check on you prior to leaving one last time to see if anything is needed. That is something most staff would not do. She has the best bed side manner and beautiful energy! Thank you for your help throughout my stay.

I have been coming to this hospital for over 10 years now, and I never get disappointed. I especially want to highlight the laboratory; the team there is fantastic and they always make the process seamless. It is clear that Ron does a great job of hiring the best people. I delivered my third baby here (second delivery at St Luke’s) on Thursday and all the nurses/doctors were wonderful! A few shoutouts: Gina was the primary labor & delivery nurse and she was sweet, made me feel comfortable and calm in the mix of my emotions. She listened to me while still being professional in guiding me with what needed to be done (since a c-section was not in my “birth plan”). I had to get an epidural and the anesthesiologists (apologies for not remembering their names) were super informative and did their best to help me calm down mentally and relax as much as possible for prepping. I received the most unexpected care I have ever experienced. Special shout out to nursing staff in the medical surgery wing. John, Zoey and Ruth made me feel like they were taking care of family. Everyone from the surgical team to the food service personnel made me feel like we mattered. They just didn't pretend to hear us. They actually heard us and took all our concerns to heart. This was my first surgery and the entire staff put me at ease every step of the way.

In the middle of a stressful ER visit, Javier ( echocardiogram) brought such a calm and reassuring presence. His bedside manner was exceptional, his tone steady and comforting, and his professionalism truly stood out. He made a difficult moment feel manageable, and that meant more than anyone probably realized. Thank you for the care and compassion you showed.
