I can’t say enough about the staff at all levels here. Top Notch ,Gold Star, Rock Stars all the way around. From my arrival by ambulance to the ER and to the time of my discharge two days later after my surgery. I never once sensed that nobody cared or took my concerns about my symptom’s not seriously. The medical and support staff should hold their heads up high. The community is lucky to have SSM here as a provider and I for one am very grateful for the help, medical care, and outpouring of compassion shown to me.
I recently spent five days at SSM Saint Joseph Hospital – Lake St. Louis, and my experience was truly outstanding. From admission through discharge, the care team consistently demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail that made a challenging situation much easier to navigate. The staff — nurses, physicians, and support team members alike — were exceptional, always taking time to communicate clearly and ensure I was comfortable and informed. One aspect that particularly stood out was MyChart, which provided excellent visibility into my care, test results, and care plan, creating a level of clarity and confidence that I deeply appreciated. I made the mistake of taking my wife to this hospital twice. It has been three months now and she is still suffering. The first time was for a broken ankle. The surgeon put the plate over the peroneal nerve and tendon. This time was for a fever. After she was moved to a room a ?doctor? came in and started off hollering at the both of us that "she is malnourished!" in a libyan accent. Then he accuses her of using crack or meth because she is tall and slim. Then he accuses me of starving her and not allowing her to eat. She then got shot up with methadone a couple of times. This hospital needs to be shut down permanently. We had a blood sample sent to a federal agency who found no trace of illegal drugs because she doesn't use them. We received bills from this guy for almost 1000 dollars eac
I would give this a 0 BUT there is 1 pos, staff. The staff on the Cardiac floor were amazing!! I had 3 diff care members during my 2 day stay & they were the ALL STARS! Nuc med guy Brian, TOP NOTCH. If this were about them it would be a 5 STAR. 3 doctors att to help me through a MI. PMH Family says I am high on the list for one, Mom 32 Stroke, Uncle x2 MI young, DAD MI 50-expired, So I was very scared. I went to the ER w all the symptoms, transferred to LSTL for tx. Upon arrival things were going smooth, then they had another lady coming to join me in my room, I know as much about that lady as I do about myself now. HIPPA regulations in an adjoining room must not be a thing. Which is fine I am a med pro so I will keep that info to myself, but when the Doc came in & basically confronted bot
I spent a week in this hospital. Although the things I had to go through in order to get well, wasn't pleasant. (The tubes around my head and in my nose) I truly had a nice visit. The nurse staff, the doctors and cafeteria staff was awesome! I always knew what was going on with me. How I was progressing. They were attentive to my every need. I just want to say THANK YOU for making my stay a memorable one...
