SPAH embodies for what vet care should be. Caring, compassionate, kind, and truly understanding — this clinic sets the standard for veterinary care. From the front desk to the exam rooms, the staff and veterinarians are patient, attentive, and genuinely listen. Cooper is always treated as if he were one of their own, and that level of care is felt every single visit. Every experience we’ve had here has been exceptional. Dr. Tinnanof, in particular, clearly cares deeply about her patients. Cooper genuinely loves coming to the clinic and is always excited to see her, which says everything. You know you’ve found an outstanding veterinarian when they take time out of an incredibly busy schedule to personally follow up — that kind of dedication is rare and meaningful. Best vet clinic in Austin! I’ve only taken my pets to 4 vets my 30 years in Austin, and I realize there are a ton from which to choose. However, vets have changed over these 30 years. Many get bought out by corporate conglomerates like my last vet group that was bought out by VCA. Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital has grown for sure the 14 years we have gone there but they remain honest and caring and I trust them for boarding my very old basset hound, Walter, who was also recently diagnosed being riddled with cancer. At close to age 14, my vet at SSAH, who is part-time, has been here for us 100% and so compassionate in our care for this old dog. The dog seems to enjoy the things in life any ancient dog would enjoy so the vet is encouraging us to love him each day he is still with us.

We have been going to Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital for over 10 years. It really is the last of its kind. Privately owned and the owner is practicing in his clinic. We have 2 miniature schnauzers. One of them has “a personality” shall we say and everyone steps up and takes great care. All the staff, including the front staff are tremendously helpful. They truly do work as a team in tandem. One of my babies has diabetes, like his mom now and Spicewood made the difference on manageability. It really is doable, even with a spirited 11 year old who hates shots or when anyone holds literally anything. If you’re looking for highly specialized vets, awesome vet techs and front end staff. Look no further. Spicewood Springs is the real deal.

Overall I had a good experience here, my dog was sick with something I never heard of and they were able to diagnose and take care of her quickly. Dr. Tinanoff was very involved and kept me updated throughout the day and continued to follow up after I took my dog home. Although unexpected vet visits are always costly, I don’t feel like I was price gouged here. Glad this unpleasant situation brought me to this clinic because I didn’t have a vet I really trusted in the area until now. Thanks everyone at SSAH!

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Benaryeh and the staff at Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital! My cat is 16 years old, and had a laparoscopic intestinal biopsy yesterday— he’s already eating, begging, and trying to run around too much! I was very worried about traditional surgery for him, so I contacted Spicewood Springs, and not only did the office get back to me immediately, “Dr. B” emailed me and answered my questions about laparoscopy. He contacted my cat’s vet to discuss the case, and even moved his schedule around to personally do the procedure ASAP! I was so impressed when he called me before AND after the procedure to answer my questions and tell me how my cat was doing. The staff are really kind and you can tell they genuinely care about all the clients. Even the 16 yr old “t
