Southwest Urology Clinic

My husband got his visectamy here mid 2025. It took him nearly a month to heal. Now he has dull lower belly pains during intercourse. Here we are 7 months after the procedure and we are expecting our fifth baby. This visectamy job felt botched and unsuccessful. I do not recomend this clinic to anyone. The facility itself seemed dirty and not well maintained and unsuccessful procedures and side effects to follow. Southwest hospital is a joke and I stopped going to the emergency room years ago. We now travel in case of emergencies. We have lost all hope in their other clinics now, as well.

It’s the worst urology clinic I’ve ever been to. They scheduled me for a procedure 2 times and both times they never sent my paperwork off to insurance for approval and did not tell me until you got to hospital for the procedure. Then they sent me to emergency room and said it’s only an $40 difference and held me 3 days in hospital and which at this point was Friday. Friday morning he didn’t want to do my surgery again. because he was going out of town for the weekend and didn’t won’t to miss his flight.. Which he went on and did the procedure. Broke 10mm stone got some out and left some. Then charged around $8000 for this procedure. But they also charged me for a stint I didn’t get and two Dr visits where he walk up to the room they had me waiting in and said I’m gonna do tomorrow morning

If I could give it no stars I would. The Np is amazing he deserves credit, however the Dr that does the surgery is arrogant, not compassionate at all, rude, and has zero care for the well being of his patients. I went for a procedure due to an obstructing 8 mm kidney stone and was told by the Dr “I got it all” I had continuous pain and discomfort for months (which I thought was pieces passing from said stone) so I went back in through the ER to find that he in fact did not get it. The surgery failed. Which I understand happens my issue was being lied to and being made to believe it was taken care of. He tried to admit me that day but due to 4 kids at home 2 of which are under 6 I had to decline so I could get a sitter in play for this to happen yet again. I went back the falling Thursday,

Make the drive to Hattiesburg, Dr Sheipis is an egotistical arrogant guy who nearly cost my wife her kidney and possibly her life. There are real urologists in Hattiesburg MS where you will actually be treated like a person. I wouldn’t trust my dogs life in Dr. sheipis’s hands. If you care about your loved one make the drive to anywhere else.

This was easy and hard at the same time. Easy because I want to help people. Hard because its our local healthcare clinic. I felt like it was my responsibility to give a honest review. Southwest Urologist clinic is the worst clinic ever. From the rude and incompetent front desk clerks (which are so mean, lazy, and lacks compassion , and customer service skills ) and never answer the phone . Ask them for medical release for to change clinic they refused to do that. Need a release to go back to work. They refused to do that. I can go on and on. Just know you will have a bad experience. Dr. Shiepis need to clean up his front desk worker and get intelligent compassion workers. This is a clinic with sick people. Show some respect and compassion or change careers.
