Southern Maryland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I took my niece for a consultation for Wisdom tooth extraction . We arrived and were not told in advance to bring guardianship paperwork to this appt. The receptionist was rude and nasty and claimed that this information was sent on the reminder for the appointment, she stated that we would need to reschedule this appointment. I took off a half day off from work and my niece left school early. This is was not mentioned before, the receptionist wanted to argue . We walked out and refused to reschedule. Stay away from this office!

I just wanna give a big thank you to the team! The Doctor and nurses were so incredibly kind and helpful. I had three wisdom teeth removed, which really freaked me out and they walked me through everything, explained the anesthesia process the extraction held my hand through the whole thing and I honestly just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart because it really had me freaking out and you guys took really good care of me!

My appointment was scheduled for 12:15, but I was delayed in traffic. Out of consideration, I called ahead to let them know I’d arrive at 12:25, and they said it was fine. However, when I arrived, they mentioned their texts/emails said to arrive 15 minutes early—yet I showed them those messages, and there was no such instruction. On top of that, they never informed me beforehand that I needed to have a driver present at all times during the surgery, even though I had three people with me. When I pointed out that their own communication didn’t mention this, they were dismissive and rude. This was a frustrating, inconsiderate, and unprofessional experience. Proceed with caution.

Absolutely terrible costumer service, disorganized, and money hungry. They do not value their clients at all. I waited 3 months for my appointment and called to say I would be running 10 minutes late, they said this would be fine because of the 15 minute grace period. When I arrived (8 minutes late) they said the doctor would be out soon. I came with some family members and they asked who was the driver who would take me home. I told them who the driver was but informed them that as soon as the appointment is over they would drive once our family member with the car picks us up because we only have one vehicle. They said this is fine and told us to wait for the doctor. Then 10 minutes of waiting later, the front desk says that I need to reschedule because the person who is currently drivin

Dr Choi was great!! I went in for a consultation in which I told him exactly which wisdom teeth I wanted out. I wasn't planning on all 4. He of course had his recommendations but said at the end of the day it's whatever I wanted. I had plenty of questions to ask in which he answered all of them. Came back two weeks after my consultation to get one removed. Then once that healed a month later I got the second one removed. Both went so smooth! They were both erupted so I stayed awake. It was done and over within 30 seconds! I barely had any pain during the healing period and was eating regular food the next day. Just not on that side of course. This was now a few months ago and everything has healed up and feels like nothing ever happened. Definitely recommend Dr Choi. The staff was great
