Smile Castle Pediatric Dentistry

We’ve been patients for a few years now. After our toddler had 2 uncomfortable visits with a different office we moved over to Smile Castle, my hope was to ensure her comfort & to relieve her anxieties. What I never expected was just a couple years later that she not only has comfortable visits; she’s excited for them. Expresses that her teeth love getting a massage & that the x-Ray machine is “fun”. It’s such a parent feel good when you can instill confidence & comfort. We are grateful for all of the staff at Smile Castle, every single one of them contributes positively to our comfort!! Highly highly recommend

My son has been going to Smile Castle for a while now, and the difference in his confidence is incredible. He used to have a lot of anxiety about dental visits, but the team here is so patient, gentle, and genuinely caring that he actually looks forward to his appointments now. They explain everything to him, they make him feel comfortable, and always treat him with kindness. We couldn’t be happier!

I’m sharing this to warn other parents. We had an 8:00 AM appointment for my 3-year-old and arrived on time. After sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes, we were finally called back and told that my child was not covered under the insurance card I provided and the delay was due to needing to guarantee payment before providing the service. I was told I would need to pay $275 upfront for a basic cleaning for a toddler. I asked if they could start the cleaning and allow me some time to check on the insurance coverage misunderstanding and she denied it. To be clear, after leaving this office, I called another local dentist, got an appointment for this week, and they confirmed that my son is covered under the exact same insurance I provided Smile Castle this morning. At first we liked smile castle but over the years things definitely changed …..my daughter when she was 3 got her lip and tounge tie taken care of of here and at first she wouldn’t keep the laughing gas on her nose and the dentist said she would be fine it and it wouldn’t hurt ….. let me tell you I will never forget the way my child screamed and cried so bad she was holding her breath at points ! And the staff was persistent the I help hold her still ! I kept telling myself maybe she was scared so i continued to take her back here against my gut instinct… fast forward now my daughter is 5 and half and our last appointment with smile castle we were told my daughter had a cavity she needed a filling and her tooth filed down … because of my experience with her lip and tounge tie my gut feelin

My 6 year old son has had 2 major dental work done, 1 side in September 2025 and the other side today. As unsettling it is to hear your baby in "pain" due to the pressure discomfort, they are phenomenal. They are so good with helping settle your child and accommodating tactics to ease the discomfort of procedures. I 100% recommend Smile Castle in California, Md, keep up the great work ya'll!!!
