South Milwaukee Family Dental

I sent all my insurance information ahead of time (many days before) my appointment. I even asked when I came in to the front desk if they had my new insurance and I was told yes, all is good to go. About 5-7 min later she comes up to me in the waiting room and says my new insurance has a one year waiting period so the appt would cost $133 or else I can’t be seen. I paid the money and continued with appt. No other issues. My point is that it would have been nice to have this all resolved ahead of my appt because all I had to do was make a call to the insurance (which I didn’t have the time to do at my appt since the hygienist came out to get me) once I talked to insurance they were able to waive the waiting period. I have start by saying that in the past, going to the dentist was not my favorite thing to put on my calendar. Until recently, I looked for excuses to avoid going. Now, over the past couple of years, we have discovered through South Milwaukee Family Dental that Dr. Berndt and her team are really into giving you a comfortable and attentive experience with great results. What I appreciate is that procedures, options and pricing are explained when inquired about, but mostly Dr. Berndt and her staff will take time to listen and talk things through. I always get anxious at the dentist. This was my first visit with South Milwaukee Family Dental. They made me feel at ease and explained every step of the dental examination. I feel very confident working with this team.

Everybody was very pleasant to work with, from the person that updated my insurance information at the front desk, to the dental hygienist who explained each step of the process, which I thought was fantastic, and my dentist who is always focused on my dental health and answers my questions completely.
