Serenity Dental Spa

I absolutely love Dr. Cao and her practice. I have never had a dentist provide such great care in cleaning my teeth. She has gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable while I’m there. I have so much anxiety in getting my teeth cleaned, and at the dentist in general, and she has given such individual care. To those who complain about the cancellation fee… she is the only dentist in the practice. She doesn’t schedule multiple overlapping appointments, canceling costs her a lot of money. I find the cancellation fee absolutely appropriate, even if it isn’t convenient for me. She has bills to pay too. Love serenity dental!

Went in the week of Thanksgiving for a tooth cleaning that weekend I had a tooth get infected and went into my appointment in extreme pain. I explained this to the hygienist, when the doctor came in she evaluated the tooth as gently as she could due to how much pain I was in. She gave me two options, I could have the tooth cleaning or I could have them remove the tooth. I opted happily for them to extract the infected tooth there on the spot. I had no idea that the doctor used Novocaine because I did not feel the needle. She walked me through the whole procedure, gave me through instructions for after care. The receptionist also went over the after care instructions, which I really appreciated because after an extraction can be jarring. They called the following day to check in with

very disappointed in this place. I used to go here as a kid and when my insurance switched I had to cancel (way ahead of time) due to them not accepting my new insurance. Fast forward to this year I got a new insurance and was able to go back. I made my appointment in May but I ended up having to go out of state and cancel due to personal family matters. My next appointment they could offer was all the way in August. On the day of my appointment that morning my horse colicked. He ended up needing emergency surgery and I called and left a voicemail as soon as I could because no one would answer the phone. I had to bring my horse and they threatened to make me pay 75$ for canceling multiple times when I was a kid under my mom’s insurance and I was sick one time over 10 years ago I would say

Very disappointed in this place. I have been going to this dentist for years--- I needed old crown replaced. My old crown was taken out in July by this dentist office and a temporary was put in. Was told by their office they couldn't finish the work and put new crown in until October- that was the earliest appointment they had. Went in October to finish and get new crown put in and they asked me when the original crown was put in. Of course it was a long time ago and I didn't know on the spot so I was uncomfortable giving a date at that time and wanted to research. I was very upset with this office because I should of been asked this question back in July plus I find out my claim was not even sent to my insurance company. In the past 2-3 years I acquired a phobia of going to the dentist. The sounds of the equipment & feelings in my mouth made it extremely uncomfortable for me to go. I tried multiple dental offices with the fear still there. I decided to give Serenity Dental Spa a try. And I can absolutely say from the front desk gentleman working, Richard to the dentist Dr. Shannen Murphy were all amazing! They are knowledgeable, kind, professional, and caring! They listened to my fears & helped me! ❤️
