Seattle Foot and Ankle Center: J John Hoy DPM PS

Dr. Hoy is terrific! He appeared to have studied my chart notes before my appointment so was up to speed with my circumstances and ready to hear my verbal description of problems while tying them together with his current physical examination. His assessment was amazingly quick and thorough. His diagnosis tied together the many assessments of my previous podiatrists while specifically identifying a most probable cause for my present pain and present the appropriate therapy for its lessening. The main missing piece of the puzzle appears to be physical therapy. Which treatment is not new to me but his explination of how the reccomended actions deal with the root cause of my pain is new. I came to the Seattle Foot and Ankle Center with John Hoy for assistance with a toe nail. Dr. Hoy was thorough in discussing the available options with me and setting expectations. I was surprised that he was able to do an avulsion in office on the same visit as my initial appointment which worked great for me. He was very willing to answer any questions that I had. The office is in Seattle but is across the street from Pacific Place making parking easy. There was almost no waiting time at my appointment time before seeing the doctor.

EDIT: Even the response to my review shows a lack of listening and comprehension of the real issue I needed help with, which isn't just the original injury, but also the muscular issues that developed as I compensated for it. At the very least he could have referred me to physical therapy. (PS: I did go to a PT, and that was night and day more helpful than this) Not helpful for my foot jnjury (dropped a lot of weight on my foot). I hate to write a negative review, but this felt like a waste of time and money. In our appointment, Dr.Hoy kept focusing on the original injury instead of the symptom that had manifested as a biproduct and was overshadowing in terms of pain. Dr Hoy was awesome. So caring. So perceptive. My wife was so joyful by the time we left. So glad our GP referred us to him.

Dr Hoy listened carefully to everything I had to say about my feet health. We felt mutual about our next steps in pain management and we will begin those next week. I’m looking forward to the relief and support Dr Hoy will offer. Thank you Dr. Hoy for making your patients the number one goal.
