Roper St. Francis Express Care

I went there on a Saturday morning after spending a week fighting flu-like symptoms. Very clean, nice facility and not overcrowded. The practitioner suggested a chest x-ray, and accurately diagnosed a secondary infection (pneumonia) that was treatable with antibiotics. Was able to pick up prescriptions at the CVS in the same shopping center. Was all good by the next weekend.

The facility, location, staff, were all top notch and would highly recommend. However I personally will not return if Dr. James Pippin is on staff for the day. I brought my son in for a routine ear infection as he has had them regularly throughout his life. I knew that one was developing and before I went out of town, I wanted to get in front of it. However, Dr. Pippin insisted, that although he did see pressure behind the ears and although he admittedly couldn’t see a ton of bulging, he could feel my sons lymph nodes were swollen and there was redness in the back of throat, he refused to prescribe medicine. Instead he felt as though it was it lecture moment to explain all of the possible negative impacts of antibiotics, and that he would prefer that I resort to a humidifier, basil around

My visit was great, despite my worries. Both nurses Latoya and Yashima, I believe her name was, we're very attentive and patient and they made me feel at ease during my visit. Dr. Pippin was very concerned and took his time to walk me through the possibilities of what was happening with me during my visit. I hope I don't have to come back =) but if I do I know i will be very well taken care of!!

This facility is very new, doesn’t even have a sign out front yet, but that does not take away from the excellent service that we received. Once we walk through the door. The front office desk was staffed with phenomenally, knowledgeable, staff, and very friendly. When we got in to see the doctor, Dr. Pippin, He listened intently, conducted a very thorough physical and then ordered x-rays, and a follow up for physical therapy and subsequent follow up with my primary care physician. He even took the outstanding effort to call me at 6 PM and let me know that the x-ray showed for possible lumbar distress. I have never had a Health professional ever follow up the same day at such a late hour to give me additional information to give to physical therapists. His conscientiousness is beyond Stand

The staff and the workflow of this urgent care is amazing. I drove extra 20 minutes to go to John’s island express care due to how wonderful they are. I will drive the extra time from now on just to go there from now on.
