I had a wonderful experience with Dr Gavin Reed and his office associates. HE WAS PROFESSIONAL and personable and listened attentively to my medical history with appropriate questions and not rushing me. He gave me treatment options to select from, including me in my therapy decisions. I also asked about the bad review on here and he told me that the actual practitioner that she saw at the office was not him, but a fill in, as he was off on the day in question Due to how I was treated by Dr. Reed and his office staff I believe the poor treatment was not from Dr Gavin Reed. This review is specifically related to my experience with the physician I saw at my October 2023, appointment. I was sent to Retina Specialists in Scottsboro for what I thought was a consultation for a possible tear in my retina. After waiting an hour past my appointment time, I finally got to see the doctor and he told me that he had to do a laser treatment RIGHT NOW. I was stunned. I told him I was there alone and wasn't prepared to have it done at that appointment, but I would make a new appointment when my husband could bring me. He became angry and stormed out of the room saying if I didn't have the procedure then I would be seeing him as an emergency in Huntsville.
