Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island

My father has been at this facility for a long time and has complex needs, including being blind and having a tracheostomy. After negative experiences at other facilities, I cannot express how grateful I am for the Respiratory and Rehabilitation team here. They communicate clearly and proactively, even when situations are not emergencies, which brings so much peace of mind as a family member. I especially want to recognize Amanda King, who is an incredibly compassionate, kind, and attentive nurse. She goes above and beyond to keep families informed not just about concerns, but also about victories. Even small milestones are celebrated, and that means everything. Amanda and the rest of the staff truly change the stigma surrounding long-term care. The care, communication, and humanity show

I can’t say enough good things about the Respiratory Rehab Center! The staff here are absolutely excellent—caring, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond for the residents. The facility itself is spotless, with clean and spacious rooms that make it feel comfortable and welcoming. There are also plenty of fun activities and great amenities that keep everyone engaged and happy. It truly feels like a community that cares. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top-quality care and a positive environment!

As a patient there first I have to complain about the PA who thought he was God and wanted to change all my medications without even asking me or my providers. My second complaint was the food disturbance was small the food was lousy and it always came to me cold. Lastly was the CNAs and the nurses I don't know how many times I had non-english speaking CNAs who were of absolutely no help to me and agency nurses who thought they were God and denied me my medications and refused to sign me out to EMS when several times I had called 911 because I was in a lot of pain I do not recommend this place to anyone

My grandmother was a resident at R&R recently, she had an amazing experience. The nurses and cnas were very kind and attentive. The facility never smelt bad when I would come to visit, it was always very nice and clean. I would recommend in the future.

My mom arrived 4 days ago…in those 4 days -Not Washed up regularly-she smells -Needs to be Rotated every few hours-is not -Breasts Completely exposed when I came in Sunday. Don’t know how long she was like that or who saw while walking by. -They gave us a plate of food Friday, and I fed her a few bites-come to find out that was a mistake. She could have aspirated and died -CNA who brought food into room stated she didn’t know she was paralyzed-do staff not read charts before entering rooms?! I watched that same woman clean my mom up after a bowel movement. And you don’t know when someone can’t move?? -Waiting 3/4 days for uti testing and results while she’s VERY delirious because of it-is not ok Not happy with this place to say the LEAST
