Post Office Lake Dental Associates

I wish could have did no stars I visited Post Office Lake Dental for the first time for a routine cleaning and to address a cavity. When I scheduled the appointment, I clearly stated that I needed a cleaning and also had a cavity. However, upon arrival, the staff focused only on the filling and repeatedly asked if I was in pain. I explained several times that I was not in pain and was there for a cleaning, but my concerns were ignored. I was then told I would need to return for the cleaning, which was confusing and not explained clearly. During the X-rays, the dental assistant used an instrument that appeared rusted. I questioned whether it should have had a plastic cover, and I was told it was fine. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and wished I had left. When the dentist, Dr. Hood,

I have been going to this dentist for years now. Great family dentist and staff that greet you like family.

I've been to this office a few times already I do not have any complaints Dr Hood is very patient and a very good dentist he has solved my problems many times already his assistant is very nice and staff also I would recommend this office to my friends

I am a Cigna employee and have been working in IT department for more than 4 years. I called this office for a Dental appointment at around 4:35PM Sept 24, 2024. Receptionist asked me what plan do I have and I told her that in Cigna insurance card, it mentions Access Plus Network - Dental Care. It does not say PPO or HMO. I mentioned to her that I can provide my Subscriber ID or Group/Account ID that you can look. She said that she can not look into her system and asked me to talk to Cigna. 10 mins before I also talked to Affordable and Aesthetic Dental office which is located in the same location, she could check whether I was enrolled or not, by using Subscriber ID. I started coming here about a year and a half ago when my son started braces. The work has been decent but I expect more. Customer service is lacking (rude), poor communication with patients (phone contact/answering and appointment reminders), limited flexibility with appointment scheduling. My final irritation was being charged a missed appointment fee during covid when they wouldn't even answer the phone during supposed work hours! Can't wait until my son's treatment is over...no way I would recommend this office to anyone!
