Honestly zero stars are granted Dr. Maritza Martinez is the worst Pediatrician i have ever let my kids see in 12 years of having kids also expext to wait at least an hour after your scheduled appointment there is a reason shes the only "doctor" accepting new patients, this office Operates weird and the front end women are horrible and so rude and the worst one is Karen!! I would never reccomend this place

I live up here during the summer months from June through September and need a pediatrician in the area. They would not see my son because of this. I had already taken my 16 month old to urgent care for an ear infection. They were unsure and asked us to follow up with a pediatrician. Karen (her actual name) was rude and would not allow me to make him a new patient because we don’t live here full time, and then asked which insurance I have (anthem blue cross blue shield - a strong insurance policy), and she immediately said they aren’t taking new anthem patients. I’ve had a summer house here my whole life, and saw pediatricians as a child even though I didn’t live here full time. What is happening with health care that you would deny a child care?

We have taken our Children to Dr. Heck for 22 years. She knows them, remembering every detail. We trust Dr. Heck. Beyond that, the nurses and staff are excellent and responsive. They keep meticulous records and treat any of our concerns seriously. Thank you everyone at Pondview Pediatrics!

I have never ever ever given a one star review. Until now. I can always find some redeeming quality but unfortunately these folks just don't possess it. Their staff that are not doctors are rude both in person or on the phone. They are pushy and rigid. Really the opposite of what a pediatrician's office ought to be. We had trouble with them (them meaning the nursing staff and the office manager) being accommodating towards my child's disability. In the end they told us they could not continue to accommodate our child. It broke my heart to see a place like this operating in 2024. The Hippocratic oath of first do no harm is not upheld here. My baby has a hard time with his shots and l asked for medication during the appointment and before l left. I live 45minutes each way away from the nearest pharmacy and when l get there they say it's not been sent yet. So l call pondview and lm told it will happen end of day after she is done seeing patients. He has had fevers go as high as 105 degrees and it's not something l want to play with. This is very upsetting and disappointing. Fast forward a couple of months later, l take my baby to be seen because he is not well and they never send the prescription. I called them twice and was told she was sending it but lm dealing with my sick child, no medication and one day off to be with him because that's all the doctor gave me.
