Playhouse Pediatrics

Should be a negative star option. Absolutely disgusted with this practice. My 11 year has been suffering migraines for a couple months, I take her in and they immediately made us go outside as they assumed she had covid even though she had been tested the weeks prior due to headaches and was negative. The doctor came to our car and evaluated her through the blasted window!!They send her to get lab work and an MRI. Weeks go by and I had not heard from nor could I get them on the phone as they don’t answer, or it goes to a VM telling you to call this number which goes to a voicemail to nothing. Never got a call back, decided to switch so I could get her results looked at and the new practice said they had a lot of patients switching from playhouse pediatrics because of the same issues… they

The office is run very poorly. They gave the wrong appointment time, provided the incorrect address, and took my phone number down wrong (even after saying it twice and they repeating it back). So now I am sitting here in the car waiting for an hour and 45 minutes for an appointment that they don't have a care in the world. they haven't gotten my daughter medical records in order to do the physical for my daughter and they won't get them until tomorrow now. I've had a faster response time at matagorda's emergency room that I've had at this doctor's office

Dr.Amaya is hands down the best! I have children 35 down to 13 and have experience with many Bay City pediatricians and most of the best have retired or moved elsewhere. My youngest now sees Dr. Playa and she is very impressive!

Dr. Amaya is super sweet and great with kids, but the office is ran very poorly. It’s unorganized and things are not done in a timely matter. For me this is important and unfortunately a deal breaker. But again, Dr. Amaya is great.

She's a great doctor. She is always knowledgeable about what mybdaughters need and explains well what is going on.
