I have an inflamed appendix that’s about to rupture per ER doctor. This hospital excepted to do my emergency surgery but they sent me here with no orders for pain relief. I’ve been here for over 3 hours with no relief. I understand Doctor may not come in for couple hours but give me pain relief while I wait. One nurse said doctor was here other after said he’s on the way. Lies. Then I walk to nurses desk in very bad pain, and they lady got on to me. Playing with people’s lives here. Now I’m downstairs waiting for a ride while appendix is still so inflamed. Worst this morning staff ever. Update 1/28/26 Thank God for Doctor Jerry Young, once he arrived he heard what the staff had done and immediately went searching for me. Found me in downstairs lobby waiting on a ride. The care provided by the ER nursing staff was deeply disappointing. My mother was shown little to no empathy, and when I requested assistance, a nurse responded by saying, “I don’t have gloves.” As a nurse myself, hearing that response was not only frustrating but embarrassing. When I advocated for my mother, we were made to feel as though we had done something wrong, and from that point forward, we were treated poorly. During discharge, my mother was handed paperwork to sign, after which no one explained anything to her. Instead, staff stood by, staring—and one male nurse laughed as we walked out. It’s awful that this is the only hospital care option in bay city. My dad’s experience on the med surg floor was not good and the so called nurse case manager Amanda was terrible. The main issue was communication and follow-up which are important if you are trying to get better to return home. We asked for a family meeting to review and reconcile medications and also to discuss treatment concerns with the doctor -not the covering NP. There were genuine concerns that needed to be addressed to ensure my dad did not return back to the hospital again-which he had in less than a week. Additionally, they gave him/ us the run around regarding receiving his own hospital notes stating (Amanda) she had to speak with her supervisor and other excuses. I have had a couple procedures done here and have had nothing but very positive experiences with everyone I came in contact with. This hospital is also beautiful! Thank you for the excellent care and service. Keep it up!

If you have to go to the hospital THIS IS THE ONE to go. Easy free parking. Super clean, very modern, and very easy to navigate. As soon as you enter the door, you are greeted by a friendly staff. The woman in registration 1 is AMAZING! She had to call and verify something for my blood work. She quickly resolved the issue. The wonderful girl in the lab was so great - I barely felt the needle 🥰 (I am a BIG baby when it comes to blood work.) I recommend this hospital 100%. I live closer to Lake Jackson, but I will continue to use this hospital.
