I would rate Dr. McAlister’s surgical skills as 5 star and his staff is also 5 star for their friendliness and helpfulness during the pre & post surgery process. My only complaint about Phoenix Foot & Ankle is that no one notified my wife after the surgery was complete to let her know how it had gone. The only way I found out anything about whether my surgery had gone well or not was during my follow up visit two weeks after surgery. There should be in my opinion be better communication with the patient and family after surgery. I also think that the doctor should prepare patients better for the mental battle you will go through as well the physical limitations you will have after surgery. My first experience in meeting with Dr. McAlister was a very good one. Everything from getting the x-rays and patient check-in to wait times went very smoothly and seamless. Dr. McAlister met with me to discuss my x-rays and need for treatment. He was very thorough in explaining treatment and he spent plenty of time listening to and answering my questions. I did not feel rushed in any way. One of best parts of the visit is that it was recorded on video through a service called medical memory and emailed to me so that I could go back and review what we discussed and remember important timelines and details regarding my potential surgery and share it with my husband as well. It's been almost a month since Dr. McAlister installed my new left ankle. The stitches came out 3 days ago and I've started on PT. Thus far I am pleased with the results. Dr McAlister is very professional, confident and listens to my concerns and questions attentively. He even showed me a video of the surgery procedure. I have always felt like I'm in good hands and would not hesitate to refer potential patients to him. His staff members are all friendly and willing to help.

Dr. McAlister and his staff are a shining example of excellent health care! They were all very willing to take the time to answer all my questions and make sure I was comfortable. I am very surprised how quick my recovery has been after the surgery.

Dr McAllister is awesome. Down to earth. Answered my questions before I asked them. His staff were pleasant and efficient. My appointment was right in time. This will be my 2nd unrelated surgery with him. He is kind and SUPER knowledgeable. Great Doctor. Great office.
