Pediatric Pulmonary Asthma

I am sharing a one star for the old receptionist only. Zero star? Yes, i would. She needs to retire really. Dr Leong is awesome that is why we just keep up with the old receptionist. I dont talk to her other than the pertinent details she will ask. She is rude. Not a people person maybe. Just retire.

Omg i don’t understand what is going on with this place but i tried to schedule an appt and when i called I was told to call the following week because she was by herself and I was bringing a new child and that was going to be a lot of work. She was very rude on the phone I was surprised. Anyway i ended up going in person instead and got to meet the lady.she was rude from the very beginning and I couldn’t believe it. It felt like I was a problem or inconvenience for her .I stated recording because the appointment was for a state child so i wanted to make sure the state knew it wasn’t me that wasn’t trying. My daughter was a patient of Dr. Leong and Dr. Salvia since she was 10 months old. They were wonderful with her and helped to keep her asthma under control for many years. My daughter now works in labor and delivery in the hospital. She has applied to PA school and wants to help keep children well like these 2 exceptional doctors.

The office is dirty, and the bathroom is disgusting. Nobody was answering the phones or at the reception desk. I waited 20 minutes before shouting and knocking on the window, I could hear talking but they weren’t responding. I finally walked back to check to see what was going on, all of the staff were in the break room, actively ignoring the phones and I. After finally getting one of them to respond to me being there, they rudely stated they were all on break. I stated I had an appt at this time. The female “receptionist” responded rudely that she would get to me when she gets to me. I took my daughter out of that office so fast. These are not the type of people I want being responsible for her health.

Every interaction I’ve had with the receptionists and workers upfront I’ve been treated very rudely. Part of me thinks it’s a racial issue but I never like to assume that. The reason I’m making this review today is because while in person, requesting a copy of my sons medical records, the receptionist rudely tells me they will be ready in 5-7 business days and they will call me when they’re ready. This is after being told over the phone that I would be able to come in and pick them up without any mention of a wait. I understand being busy, but seriously 5-7 business days for someone to hit print.. that’s insane. And the absolute rudeness and lack of empathy is just baffling, because I’m never anything but kind especially given how grateful I am for their service and helping my son.
