I've been taking both of my children to Dr. Barrera since birth, and now with my third on the way, I have no plans of changing that. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this outstanding pediatrician. He is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and always straight to the point—which I truly appreciate in a world full of sugarcoating. Every visit, I leave feeling heard, understood, and reassured. He doesn’t just go through the motions; he takes the time to explain things and gives realistic advice that actually helps. I’ve seen some negative reviews and honestly, it’s sad. Everyone has their own experience, but from day one, Dr. Barrera has been professional, kind, and clear. That kind of care and directness is something that’s so needed in pediatric care today. This is the second time we come to this office, and I forgot why we were not supposed to come back. If you have a kid with special needs, please do yourself a favor and don’t bring your kid here. My son has autism and they DO NOT what being on the spectrum is. Doctor proceeded to tell us that our son is too old for his sippy cup (like we aren’t aware and haven’t tried to switch it before) and I stood there saying well, he’s got autism and is nonverbal. I don’t understand how you can be a pediatrician and work with kids and be so rude, but I guess it is possible in this office. Never again are we coming back, we will stick with the office in Round Rock with Dr. Mathew that is sweet with our kids and not judgmental.

The only reason I would take my kids here was because of Doctor Daniel Wood. Rodolfo Barrera chose the wrong career, & he lets it be known by letting out his frustration to his patients. The first time my toddler was seen by him, he was scared of Barrera, instead of Barrera asking me to lay him down on my lap he grabbed him harshly. I thought that was so unnecessary & cruel. My daughter got accidentally injured in school. I took her to the ER because I got scared, she has a very delicate nose. I booked the follow up, because the ER Doctor told me the pediatrician needed to check on the swelling. As soon as Barrera came into the room he said as he sat in front of me "she didn't need to go to the ER for that". Barrera asked me where did I take her, I told him to St.Davids on Mopac, he said y

Dr. Barrera has been an excellent Doctor to my Three kids. Two of them are adults now, but I still have a teenager son that I bring to him. Thank you for always taking care of my kids.

It’s hard finding the “RIGHT” place for my KIDS because there have been so many changes in life in general as well as the medical field. However, some things are pretty standard and other things you learn as you grow professionally. Nobody knows our story before we came here, But I will just say that Dr. Perkins is the reason we stayed. We are forever grateful for her! She may never know how much we TRULY appreciate her, but we will try to show her gratitude when we are there🙏🏽💕💕🩷THANK YOUUUU🙏🏽
