I was here this past week due to having a miscarriage, (02/01) I was there for about four hours. Not sure how long you’re usually there for, for that kind of thing but. The staff was very nice, we had Doctor Frye, (may have spelt his name wrong.) but he was very nice when delivering the news, and was very respectful. The lady who did my ultrasound was also very sweet, and made it as comfortable as it could be. The front desk lady was also very sweet.
I came into the ER by rescue squad. Perfectly healthy 53 yr old that out of the blue passed out with a bp fluctuations of 78/53 to 160/ 110 in the span of minutes. I was taken in and the first thing done was an ekg (11 am ) Labs were done, nurse was probably the best example of a condesending medical personal I have ever encounter. Even going as far as to tell me and my husband that I was healthier than he was. The day went on and I never saw the wizard behind the curtain. I was not even told the name of the doctor that was in charge. I was released around 7pm with a reassuring " test are completely normal" you can get up and leave now. Fast forward 2 days when I get a shocking email from my from primary dr saying that she pulled the test and was alarmed to see my ekg test had Q waves and
Jan 29. My mom had very painful 3 day constipation, discovered to be a compacted hard mass stool. Dr. Cummins and Nurse Megan did a very good job relieving her. The problem is the ER was understaffed, and the waiting room was full. It took 30 min to start a triage interview. then 4.5 hours for a room to clear for my mom to be admitted, another 90 min, before any key staff got to see her. Another 90 min for treatment to start. My mom made a nasty smelly mess of the room between bed pan, portable commode. The foul odors from her release gave me diarrhea over the next 2 days. I commend the staff for their bravery in treating her that night. The holiday staffing levels may lead to delays in treatment. A prior trip during non holiday times got a much quicker response. Dr Cummins, Nur
The worst patient care I have ever seen or experienced. Referred from the hospital in Sevierville with paperwork. NO ONE will even take time to look at the paperwork. Been 3 1/2 hours and NO DR to been found. All they can offer is excuse after excuse!! Healthcare is no longer a priority for the patient!! Something needs to change and change quickly!! After another hour finally a PA arrived and did absolutely nothing at all!! Poor excuse for emergency care!!!
Nov., 28, 2025 - I struggle with anemia and was sent to the ER by my hematologist to get blood when my hemoglobin dropped to 6.1 and a home FIT test showed blood in my feces. After waiting about 30 minutes in a very cold waiting room, My husband and I were taken to an examining room. Carole, a very kind nurse, got my I.V. started and covered me with warm blankets because my feet and hands felt like ice. A doctor came into the room, introduced himself as Dr. Barry Cummings, told my to turn over on my side on the gurney, stuck his fingers into my rectum and pulled out feces, spilling them on my underwear and pants without giving me something to clean myself off. He wiped the feces on a test paper, declared they contained blood, and said he was going to admit me into the hospital and send me
