Palouse Pediatrics

We decided to search for a second opinion as we were continually feeling brushed off and dismissed at our children’s pediatrician. We heard good things about Pullman Regional and our insurance covered it. When we called to inquire which physicians were accepting patients and how to meet with them or choose they directed us to their website which has photos and bios. Unlike some others in the reviews, I loved this. It allowed us to sit done and research providers education/background/and let our kids look and provide input also. Our daughter chose to see Dr. Shields, and let me tell you, switching to Dr. Shields has been the best parenting choice we have ever made! I have great experiences with Palouse Pediatrics. The front desk has always been helpful. The nurses are kind and patient. Doctor Shields, Dr Lee & Dr Frostad (think he might like to be called Dr Mike) are knowledgeable, caring and willing to help. I am grateful for the care for my daughter since newborn time. We just moved here from the Seattle area and were pleasantly surprised how quickly we could establish primary care for our kids. Dr. Shields has a fantastic bedside manner and took the time to really get to know my kids and their medical history. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured about anything. And my kids liked her as well :) The nurses were also really great with my kids. They engaged with them and I felt like really cared about their patients.

Palouse Pediatrics provides exceptional care. Dr. Shields goes above and beyond to provide the absolute best care always! She is extremely knowledgeable & is very patient when answering all of my questions. I am always impressed with the front desk staff in person & over the phone , as well as the nursing staff they are very helpful over the phone and super patient with our baby in person.

Love love love the doctors at Palouse Pediatrics. I have called in the morning, worried about my baby, and they are able to see me the same day! Where else does this happen?! Drs.
