OrthoVirginia Haymarket

Excellent physical therapists and support staff! I saw the team 1-2 times a week for seven months after shoulder surgery. The facility is small and it can get crowded at times (the only reason this isn’t a 5 star review) but the therapists are top notch and very attentive, personable, and friendly. I’m actually going to miss my weekly sessions with them.

i’m not one to write reviews, but I feel I need to share my frustrating experience at the OrthoVirginia Haymarket office. I arrived for my appointment, and after spending almost 3 hours in the office, I was told that due to a problem with their system, my insurance information hadn’t been updated and was showing expired and inactive. This was completely unacceptable. I had to take time off work, sat around for hours waiting, only to be told that the issue was something that could have been resolved with better communication and more attention to detail. In addition, the front desk staff was unhelpful and seemed indifferent to my situation. Instead of offering solutions or even an apology, I was met with dismissive attitudes and no real help. Got seen three times by Dr Christopher Highfill at this Haymarket location for pre-op, op and post-op. Answered all questions, kept appointment times and I'm in post-recovery and back in action. Staff was great and wait times were generally low.

The entire team at Ortho Virginia did a phenomenal job executing two separate knee replacement surgeries and rehabbing me within a total of seven months. I’m a 63 year-old retiree with severe osteoarthritis that persisted for five years of bone on bone and zero Cartlidge or Meniscus in both knees. To be completely frank and honest, most people that have unsuccessful knee replacement surgery should look in the mirror. They simply have not prepared for major surgery like this. This is an update on a previous review I left. A few months ago I came to this clinic with a longstanding and severe shoulder condition. I had every symptom of torn rotator cuff, and succumbed only when the pain started keeping me up at night. Without touching me or having me remove my shirt, the specialist here diagnosed me with “frozen shoulder” and sent me on my way with a steroid injection and a follow up in a month or so. He had zero interest in hearing anything I was saying and even cut me off. When I returned for my follow up, he reluctantly ordered an MRI and six weeks of PT. However the MRI would not be authorized until AFTER the PT sessions. I said all of this in my initial review, which I’m now updating because the PT was ineffective and the MRI results have revealed why. I have
