I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Mottern as my surgeon for a recent total hip replacement. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. He was approachable, knowledgeable and took as much time as needed to explain and/or try all options and treatments available prior to surgery. I always felt he had my best interests at heart. Surgery was very successful..I was walking 3 - 4 miles a day within 12 weeks. Prior to surgery a half mile was a stretch. Post surgical follow up has been exceptional. His staff was always professional and extremely helpful.

Dr. Oliver did my carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand in April 2025 and did and excellent job. He explained everything before going through surgery. He explained everything to my husband after surgery. He has great beside manners. He is going to do my carpal tunnel on my right hand in November 2025. My left hand is have had no problems.

I went to the emergency room on sep 18 2025, I was in major pain on right shoulder, I called this place for help , I told cathcart I had been hurting for 2 weeks and I have no idea what I did, they did an X-ray and immediately scheduled me for surgery and said we will get an MRI because insurance will require one , after MRI I had no follow up about what is going on , I went 3 days without sleep before visit and after visit, I sent message for please help me with pain I can't sleep and was told no pain meds , NOT A SCRIPT OF 800 MG IBUPROFEN, NOT A RUB NOT ONE INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT I CAN DO? NOTHING!! , these people want to do surgery so bad it's insane, these people have 0 empathy, I have laid in bed for approximately 6 weeks in agonizing pain , I would give them a zero star if possible.

In a time of crisis, Mottern was a cold, judgemental jerk. He stood there preaching,with his arms crossed,while I cried my eyes out. Definitely needs medical ethics review. I chose to face a broken hip, rather than go back. It's a revolving surgery door for $$$.

I drove all the way from Belton for an appointment, for a friend of mine. We had got turned around a little so we were 10 minutes late for the appointment. She goes in, on crutches and is told by the front desk that she will have to come back in 2 weeks for being late!!! 10 minutes late!! Her leg is swelled up so bad that it's 3 times the normal size. Worried about infection in it because of a previous surgery and the screw came loose. She tried to explain all of this to them but was told oh well can't see you. How unprofessional is that? I'm sure that she wouldn't have been called immediately back at the exact appointment time! I will never refer someone to this place. If they don't have some understanding and some compassion I wouldn't want them to be my Dr.!!
