Optum Urgent Care - Fishkill

Went to check whether I contracted Lyme disease. Physician’s assistant was running late and advised me of such. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I then waited to have some lab tests done. After a while, I found the tests had yet to be scheduled. The physician’s assistant advised there was an issue with the computer request. Shortly thereafter, it was resolved. The lab technician was friendly, then advised that she had”blown a vein.” (Missed it.). Was told to avoid real stenuous exercise for a day. Overall, took an hour and a half.

The doctor and nurse were excellent once I got in. Had to wait about 90 minutes even though I had an appointment. The reception people were rude. Doctor and nurse great. Very understaffed.

Was told they would no longer allow my insurance Medicaid for Urgent Care. When I called my insurance to dispute it told me I had to self pay as an individual. Asked where I could go as I've always been here without an issue and was told that they weren't going to argue with me when I genuinely was confused why I was not able to go to my in network urgent care and not told until waiting for over 30 minutes for my appointment. Then tod they are not denying me care I'd have to pay a $ 150 deposit and that my insurance would not pay my claim later so it wasn't worth it

Mot sure you want this review! First I scheduled a time for the my visit to urgent care and when I got there there was no record of my appointment. Second I was prescribed medication that Optum should a record the I had an allergic reaction in the past but apparently it was not in my records. With in the past say 5 years Optum has changed their patient tracking system several times with in unacceptable transference of the patient’s Data.

Optum will scam you. I went to GI visit here that I was told was covered by my public health insurance. Then this morning I received a $400 bill for my 10 minute appointment. Now it’s on me to fight this bill and get them (or the attorney general) to erase it. Don’t trust Optum—go anywhere else where they aren’t planning to defraud you.
