Oneida Health Hospital

My sister inlaw was here at the end of 2025 in the ER and while she received very good care and the staff was very cordial and responsive, the facility was absolutely DISGUSTING! This is the E.R. room that she was in. Her room on the 4th floor was equally disgusting and freezing the entire time she was there. Do Better Oneida Hospital!! (January 2026)🚨 WARNING!!!🚨Absolute Hypocrisy and Poor Enforcement at Oneida hospital 🏥 🚨 I visited this hospital during peak flu season when mask mandates were in full effect for patients and visitors. From the moment I arrived, security aggressively enforced the "no mask, no entry" policy—they turned away several people at the door and even threatened to kick out anyone who didn't comply immediately. I put on a mask as required, expecting the same standards from the professionals caring for sick people. What a joke. Most of the nursing staff and doctors were either not wearing masks at all or had them dangling under their chins, pulled down while chatting at stations or walking hallways. Security guards—the very ones barking orders at visitors—were the worst offenders, with masks loose

We took our 12 year old son there for abdominal pain and the staff was great! So efficient and nice. Dr. Black, Carla and Mason stood out as wonderful caretakers. It turned out to be minor constipation but they made us all feel comfortable and my son was better in no time. They ensured it was nothing too serious before discharging him. Thanks!

January 2026- I visited Oneida hospital recently and was appalled by their hypocritical and dangerous handling of mask policies during what should be a time of heightened health precautions. As a visitor, I was promptly kicked out for not wearing a mask—fair enough if enforced consistently—but the staff(nurses security ect) themselves were casually joking around without masks on, right in front of patients and visitors. This blatant double standard isn't just unprofessional; it's outright malpractice that puts lives at risk. Hospitals are supposed to be sanctuaries for the vulnerable, especially the elderly who are at high risk for severe illness from respiratory viruses. My son (11) is terrified of ANYTHING medical, he gets very anxious when it comes to anything- even swabs. The nurse, Caroline, was patient and kind, great with him! They got him right in and out with a first dose of abx and some Motrin. 10/10 recommend this hospital
