I just want to thank the patience of the front office people I speak to and Matthew the pharmacist who always is patient calm cool and collected when it comes to my prescriptions. Have been having issues with the providers office staff with actually getting prescriptions called in. They advise me they have but in reality they haven't It gets frustrating because now I have to call pharmacy to verify everything they say they are doing but in fact are not doing. Matthew the Pharmacist has been an excellent bridge helping complete the actual script getting processed This is not his job. I feel bad having to call but the credibility of providers office has diminished considerably. About two weeks ago, my wife picked up a prescription that seemed off. The medication was upside down in the box, and some pieces were missing. We knew it shouldn’t look like this because the first box we got had been in better condition. When she called the pharmacy, she explained that she wasn’t comfortable using it and asked for a replacement. They said she could come pick up a new one. This was her second box, and it cost more than the first. The first box was $60, but the second one cost $100. The person at the counter even mentioned, "I think this is the same as the other pharmacy." Despite the price difference, she paid because she needed the medication. Aleracare bought out Vasco Pharmacy at the 40th St location. Vasco was always prompt and accurate. Since Aleracare bought them, service and promptness has gradually diminished. The employees are nice and helpful, but the overall experience is untenable, therefore I've taken my rx's elsewhere. On average, my rxs began taking 10-14 days to fill. And if you call in, my wait times on hold have ranged from 45 minutes to TWO HOURS!!! They failed to change my address, and take us from delivery to pharmacy pick up, as requested. Last time I had rxs filled, I went 10 days without an important rx and felt ill. Last year my Dr. phoned in a different milligram for my rx. I called to try and get a re fill of my prescription and the lady was rude and said she can’t help me? I have to email them and a bunch of other hoops. Then why put your number on the bottle??? I need it faster because of my old debit card expired and didn’t update fast enough. This company is very unhelpful and has no way of getting a refill fast if you don’t have it. Why put an address on the bottle if we can’t go there in person and get a refill??? I hate things that don’t make sense.
