Oakmont Guest Care Center

My granddad was here temporarily and his room had no working AC. Residents are wandering around this facility lost. If you have a grandmother here who is wheelchair bound, has no teeth, is difficult to understand, and is black with short gray hair in a bun, I had to call a nurse for her twice because she was scooting around with her legs, lost, and crying. The first time, a nurse happily helped. The second time, a week later, the nearby nurse wouldn't even come to us to check on her. She told me they will handle it and then disappeared into a room so I couldn't keep bugging her. Again, she was crying and could have been in pain. My mother is a new resident at this facility. From evaluation to acceptance to check-in, everything has been amazing. They have been professional. They have been clear. They have been compassionate. They have been direct in the path for recovery. Any small detail, they have met with understanding.The facility is clean. The residents get along with one another.And my mother has come back to me cognitively, and in her personality.I couldn't be happier.

My grandmother has been her for a little over a year and absolutely loves it. Of course there was an adjustment period however, the staff has always been open to suggestions and has really made this a home for their residents. Our family has been very pleased with Oakmont and would recommend this place a thousand times over.

If I could rate this facility lower, I would. This is by far the worst facility I’ve ever encountered. My grandfather—an elderly veteran who proudly served our country in two wars—was treated with complete neglect and disregard for his wellbeing. During his stay, he was clearly malnourished and appeared uncared for. On the very day he was scheduled for discharge, he sustained serious injuries, including a deep gash to his forehead that unquestionably required stitches. The facility not only failed to notify my mother or me but also failed to provide him with any medical attention. Instead, they left him with an open wound, no food, no water, and no care. To make matters worse, the staff could not provide a clear or consistent explanation of how he was injured. Their response was dismissi
