NW Dental Center: Fred S Hsu DMD

I have been very satisfied with Dr. Hsu and his Dental Assistants since I became a patient there about 20 years ago. They are very careful and have expertise in many areas of dentistry. Dr Hsu and his team saved my gums many years ago. I am always confident of receiving the best possible care, and clear explanations, every time I go for a cleaning, exam and/or treatment. I also enjoy my conversations with Dr. Hsu and his team. I have learned important things about teeth and gums, and caring for them. That is my experience in Dr.Hsu's office, and I will definitely continue going there as long as I live in Seattle. The Front Desk is really great, too. So friendly and helpful! Thank you all. Had dental fillings on all 8 of my molars here in 2017, Dr. Hsu flattened all the surfaces and caused it extremely difficult for me to chew on hard things, my TMJs are getting worse because of the overtired jaw muscles. Natural teeth have grooves and bumps which not only helps with the occlusion but also helps grind food. I was very hesitated at the suggestion given by Dr. Hsu’s to grind off my natural grooves at that time, but he continued pursuading me into doing it so that he can make more money. Now I have numerous more severe problems to deal with.

I've been a patient of Dr Hsu for almost ten years and I think I probably will be until he retires. He and his staff are kind and caring and will put you at ease. And he has pulled off some minor miracles saving me a lot of money skillfully placing fillings in situations that other dentists would have insisted on more expensive crowns just because they could. I'm very grateful for Dr. Hsu!

Dr. Fred Hsu is a very patient and humble doctor. I'm picky about dentists because it can cause anxiety sitting in a chair having someone work in your mouth. I want sure what to expect with Dr. Hsu. My husband told me his English isn't perfect, however, when I met him, and while working on my mouth, it was obvious that his accent is more than made up for by his kind, patient and teacher-like personality. Unfortunately, ive seen too many stuck up doctors recently, but he doesn't act like that at all. I also liked his assistant who communicated well while assisting and made me feel comfortable. Their office was also very clean.

I have been going to Dr. Hsu since 2013. He is an awesome dentist who cares about patients and makes sure that you understand everything. His office has newer technologies that show you close up photos of your teeth and any cavities. If you do have cavities that need to be taken care of, Dr. Hsu has ipads mounted above you that you can watch during treatment. He has netflix and you can listen with headphones or over the sound system. This has made appointments less stressful for me as I know I'm in great hands and can relax with a show I like. They've also worked with me on explaining cost breakdowns with different insurance policies I've had over the years and I know they're reasonably priced if you do not have insurance.
