Novant Health Urgent Care – Moncks Corner (Formerly Doctors Care)

I really like this urgent care. I find Moncks Corner traffic alot better than Summerville and Goose Creek. So this urgent care being in Moncks Corner means less traffic to start off with. Second the staff is very nice and professional. I have been there for ear aches and broken fingers. They have been great every time. I highly recommend them.

I've been to this establishment once before with amazing results. However this visit I was told I had bronchitis. The medicine prescribed has not helped and made the office aware during their follow up call. When speaking with the phone assistant (I believe her name is Ashley) she let me know at 8:05am the doctor or another doctor at the facility would take a look at my paperwork and give me a call back to at minimum let me know what the doctor says. I had to call back around 1:30pm for her to tell me that the doctor wont be back in office until friday. When I asked if something as simple as bronchitis couldn't be read over by another doctor i was told it was only if another doctor could look into it she I would just have to wait until friday with the attitude of somebody who couldn't hear

I had to visit the Moncks Corner office to seek treatment for bronchitis. I found the staff to be efficient and knowledgeable. The office was quite busy on a Sunday but I was in and out within with time to spare to pick up my prescriptions before my pharmacy closed.

I was optimistic when I heard the friendly greeting when I approached the desk today. I told the smiling staff member that I had sinus area pain that may or may not have been caused by dental work the previous week. A second person behind the desk interjected herself into the conversation without introducing herself or stating her position within the company. She had a tone and demeanor that I don’t think most folks in Moncks Corner SC would be eager to find. She attempted to diagnose my condition at the desk stating that my insurance would not cover dental work. Despite my valid coverage she denied my access to a provider without first paying a $199 fee.

I just want to thank the techs and drs. For their kind services. I would like to especially give a s/o to Dr. Pool. He made sure my care was acknowledged. I had a muscle spasm in my neck that kept reoccurring. He took the time out to figure out what was best for me. I received two shots of lidocaine in my neck were the pain was that my own dr. Didn’t even take the time to figure out. Dr. Pool referred me to a physical therapist where I’m now getting treatment and feeling better.
