Novant Health Urgent Care – Little River (Formerly Doctors Care)

This place is a nightmare and I would avoid if you don't want to risk your identity being stolen and to be completely ignored by staff for hours while they hold your IDs hostage. When I checked in at the front desk the woman took my drivers license and insurance card and I did not get them back for an hour and half!! Another man I spoke with was waiting for over 2 hours without his ID items!! She refused to return my identification items (along with my social security number being next to them) back to me for about an hour and 20 minutes while she completed their "registration process". The whole time she was "checking me in" she was taking personal calls on her cell phone and not doing anything but hoarding my IDs and others in the waiting area. Today I went to Novant Health Urgent Care in Little River, SC and I was shocked and appalled by the attitude of a person at the front desk. I heard her say her name is Beth when she answered the phone. She was extremely curt with patients checking in and phoning in but she was not rude towards me. An elderly gentleman walked in asking for assistance applying an apparatus to his arm he bought at a pharmacy. Beth said, no we don't do that. Go to your own doctor. Then she asked what it was and if he could do it himself to which he responded no. She said you have to go somewhere else. I was sitting close to the desk and without even trying, I could hear most of the comments she was making in reference to patients. Someone phoned in and she was very abrasive. Facility was very clean and staff was awesome! I came in very sick and they were quick to note, so I was taken back quickly to address my condition. Oringally thought it was related to the heart and had to go to the ER in an ambulance for further testing. Staff was empathetic, quick to attend to me. Very friendly and very professional. . I highly recommend Little River Novant. I actually came up from Cherry Grove in SC for this urgent care specifically.

I received care for my ankle and everyone was great! Danesha (sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly) at the front desk, is amazing! She is kind, respectful, and courteous. I had to call her to get my x-rays emailed to me fast, and she made it happen! Thank you!

I went in yesterday to get my tonsils checked out as i frequently get strep. Not only did I wait for an hour but the woman who started to check me in decided i didn’t need to be seen right away and not only checked in a gentleman who walked in after me but also made sure he skipped the line to the doctor ahead of me and the woman before me who’s small child was sick. She had my ID for over thirty minutes get more receptionists behind that desk if it’s gonna take not one, but TWO people a painfully slow time to get their work done. Not only that I was prescribed multiple medications only recieved one, and th doctor looked me dead in my eyes and said “im sending in both these medicines for you, blah blah blah, sometimes i have to send things in twice but we will be open tomorrow” tomorrow be
