North Oakland Visiting Veterinarian

Just had a beautiful experience putting our 80# lab down with Dr Mark. He came to the house, she was in her favorite bed. We were able to pet her the whole time. He sedated first so she peacefully went to sleep with us holding her.

Disappointed. I can’t give a negative rating. Dr. Mark has no compassion or empathy, completely unreliable and rude. He cancelled our first home visit and said “Maybe” he could make it tomorrow. I said anytime. I texted him at 7:45 pm asking about his ETA and got a very poor excuse and a screen shot of his maybe comment double circled in red highlighter. I was floored by this response. I texted back to him that we are here and we need him. I have never received a response back. My cat is very ill and can’t handle a traumatic trip to an office. Don’t ever use this Dr. if you love your pet. Next step is to petition the vet board with a complaint and ask for censure.

Dr Mark has been my veterinarian for 20+ years. He is an amazing vet and very intelligent. He has saved countless dogs of mine. He has hoped increase the longevity of my English bulldogs to an average age of 11.5 years. His staff is so professional. They do an awesome job caring for my spina bifida bulldog when I board her there as long as 3-weeks at a time. He also makes home visits to assist in my piggies vet care too. I highly recommend this veterinarian practice.

We unfortunately lost our baby girl Roxy last week, but Dr Mark was very kind and compassionate. He sent her for a cremation and we received her ashes in a lovely box and ahold of her paw print. We will miss her very much. This week our baby boy is sick, and Dr Mark got us right in and sent Heifer home with some medicine. We've been patients of Dr Mark for years and he has always take excellent care of our fur babies. His prices can sometimes be a little steep, but they come with a piece of mind knowing that my babies are getting the best care. He comes out to the house to treat the cats, and is available via text 24/7 for emergencies which we were extremely grateful for at midnight Saturday and again at 5am on Sunday when our Roxy first got sick.

I've had Dr. Mark to my house for a dog bite injury some years ago. Excellent service. I recently took one of my dogs to the office for the doggy flu. Again excellent service with reasonable prices. He and his daughter took such good care of my fur baby. I followed all his advice which was spot on and she is all better now. I will be back.
