New London Hospital Express Care Plus

Wow! I have used Express Care several times. The wait is never long. The care is exceptional. The staff is friendly and professional. They are so far above all the of the Express Care centers in the area in every aspect of care. All the people complaining about cost are victims of the system NOT the institution.

Disgustingly deceptive practice calling this an "Express care" it is NOT an urgent care, which means it will be billed as an ER visit. I expected a $35 copay and now have a $500 bill for a single antibiotic pill. Why even have this if it's the exact same thing as the ER?

Honestly out of all the emergency Express cares in New Hampshire. This one in New London is on point. The providers the staff are wonderful. You never have to wait too long to be seen. They also recommend Nikki Peele. She's a wonderful woman, caring, compassionate things you don't find in everyday doctors offices.

Coming here for many years. Always polite and clean and great care. Everything is always explained well. The people there work very hard. Of course, you need to self advocate and work with the providers to ensure the best outcome and keep in mind that no one is perfect 😊

I visited New London Express Care, thinking it was a typical walk-in urgent care facility, to get an antifungal prescription for a skin rash. The visit took about 15 minutes, with excellent and courteous service. However, I was shocked to see the bill of $706 including a $553 charge for "emergency room". After insurance, my portion of the bill was $100 instead of the usual $20 copay. I asked the hospital's patient advocate why they didn't warn me at the desk that I would be charged for an emergency room visit (even though the emergency room is at the opposite end of the hospital). He said that it is against federal law to mention this, that it might discourage patients from using the emergency room. Go figure!! Bottom line: avoid Express Care!
