Moss-Magee Rehabilitation

Experience mixed. My first therapist was pretty useless for me. She did not individualize her approach for someone with severe back pain while working on rotator cuffs. My new therapist is first rate. Here is why I would give the facility one star. My doc here prescribed wrist/thumb splints. He prefers the short style that is shaped to individual fit at the facility. I spent two hours with the therapist (should have been 30 minutes!) and when I got home they were too painful to wear. So I went back the next week, and the head therapist refitted them. While I was waiting, some one brought in two boxes containing the larger splints and told me to take them with me. I had a not so great experience with another rehabilitation center that was “caring” for my grandmother. When my father suffered a stroke and was recommended to rehab I was honestly dreading it. I must say that my father has had an excellent experience. All of the staff from the lobby to the nurses are friendly and welcoming. He loves his physical therapist Erin. He has made excellent gains since he started.

Absolutely, the best rehabilitation hospital on the East Coast. The entire Second floor, physical therapy department, the doctors and Even housekeeping… Everyone was so nice, and so professional and so caring. I received the best care. I was able to leave this facility after 15 days Of impatient care, I left without Needing the assistance of a cane, a wheel chair or a walker. I would like to give a special recognition to my wonderful physical therapist, Charlotte, Rachel, Dr. Quan and my nurse Mohamed. God bless you all.. Cecelia P.

On a recent rehab stay of 10 days I must say I was very disappointed at the choice I made. Their hospital patient room was so hot they brought a fan in to blow the dust around. Getting doctor ordered pain meds was a begging session with the could care less nurses. I will say the p/t and o/t personnel were very good. I could not handle another day at the facility and maybe left a bit sooner then I could have, but I was sick from the dust filled room and dirty bathrooms. I will never go back and suggest you do your homework before committing to this below par facility..

July 5th 2023 my 40 year old husband had a cardiac arrest resulting in an anoxic brain injury. He was in Jeffersons ICU for a month and then I had to make the desision where he was going next, after tours, hours of reading google reviews, and lots and lots of prayers. I decided on moss, and on August 1st he was transferred to the brain injury floor. This was a two hour drive one way I was making every day 8 months pregnant with a 5 year old and 14 year old at home. Although there were a few hick ups, a few phone calls and visits to the head nurse to address concerns, they were extremely professional and took action. I did make sure a visitor was with my husband at some point on the weekends, if I couldn't be there because the weekend nurses were hit or miss. The highest amount of praise w
