If you want low quality end of life care at astronomical prices. This is the place for you! All they care about is money, at $17,000 a month you would think they had the patient’s best interest in mind. But they put on a show that they care, it’s all an act. My dad had a stroke over the course of an entire weekend and not one person even noticed. The mouth full of food in this mouth asleep. They have attitude/annoyed if you ask for an update on your loved one. The only reason they get a second star from me is because they have a handful of amazing CNAs that DO care. Avoid this place!
I was there Feb 13 for a hospice patient. I had 2 visits there. During the day, the staff was ON POINT with all levels of care. The night staff were GHOSTS! Last room visit approx 9:15pm by staff. I left at 12:36am and NO ONE visited the room to check on the patient. I was going to stay over night but no one came to check on the patient so I could ask for a blanket snd pillow. When I went to go let myself out , I had to check halls a couple times to find a staff to LET ME OUT of the facility. Call lights were going off. If you do not have the staff to take care of the patients, maybe it is a good idea to shut halls down. It is greedy to take money from these people or the state and NOT give them proper care. Especially a dying patient. Having worked in the medical field over 20 years, with
My wife was referred to Monument Health – Stonecreek following back surgery, and the experience was deeply concerning. Upon arrival, she was placed on an uninflated air mattress and left in significant pain. Staff were unaware of the reason for her admission and unsure how to care for her until a mattress provider who happened to be on site replaced the bed. The room had multiple basic issues: no warm water, a toilet that would not flush, and a door that would not close. She was also served a meal that was not appropriate for a post-surgical patient. Throughout the night and into Saturday morning, there was little continuity of care. Shift changes appeared uninformed, and response times were extremely delayed. On Saturday morning, my wife called me crying in pain after waiting approxima
Warning do not take anyone you love to this place. I wish I was smarter about this and found out the hard way that my daughter might never walk again. In the 7 months at this facility she has gained over 100lbs. I increasingly spoke to them about her disability and inability to know when she was full. Now the additional weight has put so much pressure on her leg she is totally immobile. Also note they do not return calls, leave you out of the care process. Allowed her to sit in soiled pants and put her in harms way when another patient touched her inappropriately. Not clearly understanding how I could move her they just moved her room. Shame on me for not understanding I should have moved her sooner from this horrible facility. I will urge you not to place your loved ones in this situation
If I ever need to be in a care center again, this is where I’d want to be. From the first minute being transported by JR and every minute after, these guys know their stuff and always do it with an abundance of gentleness and kindness. So many wonderful prople. Just a few are JR, Bart, Amber, Lydia, Nancy, Betty, I wish I could remember all their names … every single one working at the Monument Stone Creek Center is a great asset and example of the word caring. Transport, reception, nursing, physical therapy, housekeeping - everyone! These guys set the bar very high. Thanks guys! I just wish I could enjoy another doughnut with my friends at Stone Creek.
