Montville Animal Hospital

I cannot say enough how well they treated my sweet Gracie girl. We had Dr. Herron since I was a little girl in Gales Ferry. When she moved, we decided to move Gracie with her to Montville. I was blessed to have seen most of the veterinarians here who were nothing but knowledgeable and caring for my sweet girl. From her hyperthyroidism, to UTIs, to bladder cancer, they knew what to do every time. When it was time for my sweet girl to cross the rainbow bridge, Dr. Donohue was so incredibly kind and sincere. She gave us the most comforting experience from letting me hold her, to giving us all the time we needed. She gave my kitty as much love in that room like it was her own. Thank you to all the staff who work here. You’re all so kind.

We are so thankful for the doctors and staff here! We brought one of our cats there who was sick and they did only what was necessary for the moment. They treated us wonderfully and helped our guy feel better! We will become life long clients of this vet office moving forward!

I brought my 10-year-old cat here for the first time after switching to a closer vet, and it was the best experience we’ve had. The clinic has a calm atmosphere, and Dr. Donohue was so kind and gentle. Instead of pulling my cat out of the carrier by the scruff of his neck like other vets have done, she patiently coaxed him and wrapped him in a towel so he felt safe. Nothing felt rushed, and we were even able to wait in the exam room until checkout so he didn’t have to be around other animals. Vet visits are usually stressful, but here he was truly cared for.

Today I lost my best friend . Our 11 year old Golden Hades . We had him seen in Virginia where his old vet was while there visiting our daughter for her college graduation . Our baby was diagnosed with pancreatitis . We brought him back home with medication and making him fresh chicken and rice daily in hopes things would turn around.This week things took a turn for the worst . I called two days ago and the front office staff got us in today . It’s heartbreaking but we lost him today . The provider and staff were some of the best people we have ever encountered in all the years we have had animals . They were comforting , kind, patient, understanding and loving . The office has been so understanding and helpful with my nervous Nellie of a dog and her over protective mom. Ha ha Everyone is so nice and kind. I appreciate all the care she receives and I know that they are doing the best for her every time we see them. I am so glad they are my dog’s vet.
