All of the front desk employees and admin personnel are rude and unhelpful. They all do not know how to check/ work with insurance to make sure you are able to have your cleaning appointment the day it is scheduled. They keep canceling my appointments (this happened 3 times) due to understaffed or other issues and did not tell me until I showed up at their office. I have been trying to have a teeth cleaning for 5 months. One time they double-booked my appointment and did not let me go into a cleaning because they said I got the date wrong but I showed up with my printed appointment date from them and not an apology. Wasted my time driving there.

I’ve been coming to Dr. Pang for years, and he is absolutely amazing — thorough, kind, and incredibly detailed in his explanations. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the front desk receptionist, Amanda, who has made what should be a routine, pleasant visit consistently frustrating. This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with her rudeness and complete lack of concern for patients, but at this point, I’ve had enough. As the first point of contact, a receptionist sets the tone for the entire patient experience — a simple smile, some empathy, or basic problem-solving goes a long way. Sadly, none of that seems to be in her playbook. Instead of helping, Amanda’s go-to response to any issue is almost always, a firm, “can’t help you there.” Not even a sorry. Only when I suggest a solution

This place rocks. Highly recommend. Nice staff. My old dentist told me they couldn’t fix my broken (in half) front tooth or my back teeth. Received a filling from dentist here and it’s still on after 2 years and looks like nothing ever broke, which is very impressive because they usually only last a few months. They also offered me alternative options that don’t involve losing my back molars. Unlike last place (down road from this one) who told me my only options were extraction with minimal examination. Affinity got me in super quickly too. Thank you affinity !!

A employee at the front desk denied a cleaning for my autistic five-year-old son because she claimed that they needed an updated insurance card that I did not have. With the type of insurance we carry, it can be looked up several ways. This older woman (who would barely identify herself other than “The manager” or “Part Owner” and then at one point the sole owner) who came up to the front desk was immediately rude, immediately abrasive, and seemed like she enjoyed being combative and denying us my son’s visit. It is very hard for me to find a place to bring him, get him in for an office visit, and in the dentist chair due to him being on the spectrum, he had been here twice before and was just getting comfortable. I suggested the two other things that would give them our coverage informati

Affinity Dental was uncooperative and unwilling to help a patient who is 80 yrs old and for whom English is a second language. She had recently been seen there for a problem tooth and was referred to an endodontist. Unfortunately, over the weekend the problem had evolved to swelling and pain, preventing her from eating or sleeping. We called UCONN Dental Clinic, as instructed by Affinity and explained about the referral and updated them on the new symptoms. We were told it would take 6–9 months to see an endodontist, but that she could come to their emergency walk in clinic and try to be seen as an emergency. Unfortunately, that clinic is over an hour away and transportation is an issue. It also is not a guarantee that she could be seen. Despite the fact that Affinity Dental had alread
