We researched & visited many assisted living facilities (ALFs) for my husband's 85 year old mother who has dementia and was falling often at home. We were actually ready to sign a contract with one of the larger, resort-style ALFs, but thankfully we decided to look at one more facility, Miramar... As soon as we spoke to Laura, we knew this was the right place for Mom. Miramar houses a smaller number of residents (6), which means the care-givers know each resident and provide personalized care. My loved one has visual impairment, and Laura went above and beyond to provide compassionate and personalized care, making sure our love one was comfortable and safe. She was very accommodating with meals, routines and even understanding with us calling to periodically check-in to see how things were going.
