Their neurology department needs to do better. I am not sure what their employees are doing for referrals not to be entered in EPIC a timely manner. Each time I called to schedule an appointment I kept getting told they never received the referral from my doctor’s office which was actually faxed to them 3 weeks prior but someone is not doing their job clearly!

⸻ ⭐ One star is honestly too much for the kind of treatment I received from Ms. Milagros Escobar. I left that place feeling angry, humiliated, and deeply disappointed. Her attitude was absolutely unacceptable — instead of helping people who come looking for support, she seemed to take pleasure in being rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. It’s heartbreaking to see someone like her working in a place that’s supposed to help the community, not make people feel small or ashamed for asking for assistance. She didn’t show any compassion or respect — only excuses and negativity. People go there looking for guidance and hope, and instead they find someone who makes the experience miserable. It's not actually an Urgent Care center. They say it is on their website and signage, but they are lying. When they bill your insurance, they code it is as "outpatient hospital", not as "urgent care," meaning you will pay a much higher co-pay (10x as much, in our case). In most cases it's cheaper if you just go to the ER. MGH call centers urge you to go here instead of the ER, but that's only because they can charge you more. We will never go here again, and we've asked the MA Attorney General's office to investigate them for fraud. The doctor's here are great. But my issue is with checking in. There has to be a better way! Why do I have to say out loud my personal information to the patient coordinators when I'm showing my ID. What happened to patient confidentiality? I've had my identity stolen through this hospital so many times it's not even funny anymore. Please stop asking me for my personal info when I'm prepared to show ID. Like enough! This is my personal info put out there for everyone to hear that is in the waiting room. There has to be a better way!

The staff is incredibly incompetent and lazy, especially in the immigration medicine section.
